1. Who we are
Dione Wallet LLC, Toronto, Canada (incorporated 15 December 2024). Daughter entity of Dione Protocol LLC. Operates dionewallet.com — the official source for the DIONE Wallet desktop application.
2. What we collect on this website
- We use cPanel access logs only. Logs include timestamp, IP address, user agent, requested URL, and referrer.
- We do not use Google Analytics, Mixpanel, Segment, Hotjar, Plausible, or any third-party analytics.
- We do not use cookies for tracking. The site sets no tracking cookies.
- We do not have a content management system collecting form submissions.
- The MigrationVerifier and StakingCalculator interactive components run entirely client-side. We never see what addresses you query or what amounts you stake-calculate.
3. What the DIONE Wallet desktop application collects
- The wallet runs on your device. We have no backend. No telemetry. No analytics. No crash reporting that includes user data.
- Auto-update checks query our update server with version-only metadata (no user identifier).
- WalletConnect v2 connections route through standard WalletConnect infrastructure — see WalletConnect's privacy policy.
4. Data storage
All wallet keys are stored locally on your device, encrypted with your password (AES-256-GCM with Argon2id key derivation). We do not have a copy. We cannot recover your keys. This is the tradeoff for self-custody.
5. Third parties
- This website is hosted on a cPanel/Apache server. The hosting provider applies its own standard data-handling per their terms.
- The wallet auto-update server is hosted on the same infrastructure.
- The MigrationVerifier queries the OdysseyScan public API; queries are not persisted on our side. OdysseyScan's logs are subject to their privacy policy.
6. Your rights (GDPR, CCPA, PIPEDA)
- Right to access: cPanel logs are retained 90 days, accessible by request.
- Right to deletion: the same logs can be purged on request. These are server-side technical logs — there are no user accounts.
- Right to data portability: not applicable (no user accounts to port).
- Right to withdraw consent: you can stop using the site; nothing persists about you on our side.
